Autumn Colour

Over the last couple of months I have not had much time to get out and take photos. In fact, I haven’t taken any photos since Bathurst Harbour, which is kind of depressing. Whats worse is that with my current schedule, I will not be able to get out into the wilds to take any more photos for at least another 3 weeks due to current workloads :(

I have missed much of the magnificent autumn colour changes that occur each year, but did manage to briefly have a play with my 50mm lens and close up filters in the garden. I find this a nice image so far as colour and texture goes.

Thats all for now! unless I find something from the vault :)

This little fella was spotted outside today so I grabbed my close-up filters and went to town with the camera. Theres something about close up work with insects that I find quite fun.

Even though the walk started mid-morning, wherever the sun had not been able to get into was thick frost and ice. This gave everyone an opportunity to try and capture the crystal-like formations the frost made.

Raindrop on Maple

Raindrop on Maple

I think this would have to be close to the wettest couple of weeks we have had for some time. I have been completely unable to tend to the garden because everything is saturated. This morning however I did go outside to have a a play with capturing raindrops on plants. I am happy with this result.

While walking down to the Lady Barren Falls, I happened across the fungus that was growing amongst the masses of moss growing beside the path. What I found interesting was how to fungus grew – it started out  a crimson red, and then as it matured changed colour from red to orange to a vivid yellow.

The walk along the track to the Russell falls is a photo experience in itself. Rich with ancient ferns and shrubs this is a prime example of temperate rainforest. I happened across this wonderful example early into the walk.
