Going through my photos at Cape Deslacs, I noticed that there was enough imagery available to generate another mini slideshow. Rather that create another animated GIF as seen in my Deluge post, I thought I would attempt to find a way to animate the images using script. The end result is seen above using wordpress plugin.

Cape Deslacs is quickly becoming a new favourite spot for me, with a fantastic rock formation and coastal beach allowing for a lot of experimentation with exposure, composition and natural lighting.

Every Cloud

Well you know what they say about every cloud? It’s true. Taken at Cape DeSlacs recently.

Whilst the cloud did make the desired photos I wanted to take that much harder to obtain, the above photo shows that you need to look around when taking photos to make sure that you miss nothing

Cape Deslacs is a favourite spot of a good photo buddy, Alex Wise.I decided to pay the place a visit the other week with the idea of trying to capture motion in the surf with a strong backdrop. Cape Deslacs can be found at the eastern end of Clifton Beach (webcam). Whilst I really like the colours of the surf, sand and sky, the cape itself is lit a bit harshly – I was still a little too early for the true “golden hour“. However I will be heading back again in the near future to redo the photo.
