The summit of Mount Wellington has the fantastic mix of alpine scrub and many vivid colours. However in winter, a lot of the colour is hidden by deep snowdrifts. Somehow a friend of mind convinced me that I wanted to go up the Mountain, in the snow, at 6am in the morning to take photos.

Of the photos I took, this was the one I liked the most. with a bit of a crop, and some adjustments, I feel this really did catch the mood of the morning.
